Description:

The Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), based in Berlin, Germany, is one of the leading international providers for renewable energy training and energy efficiency education. Since our founding in January 2008, over 8,000 participants from 147 nations worldwide have benefited from our expertise in technology, financing, management and market development of alternative energy.This training is part of the project “Enabling Climate Change Mitigation through Capacity Building ‒ Green Energy Center of Iran (GECI)” financed by Germany’s International Climate Initiative (IKI). The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) supports this initiative based on a resolution adopted by the German Bundestag. Since 2008, the IKI has been financing climate and biodiversity projects in developing and newly industrializing countries as well as in countries in transition. Official project partner is the Ministry of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Content

This training package consists of a preparatory online seminar and a classroom training with field trips in and around Berlin.The online trainings will cover fundamentals of renewable energy and energy efficiency as well as grid integration of variable renewable energy. The training in Berlin will cover Germany’s climate protection and energy transition strategy, education opportunities and programs for jobs in the solar and wind sector in Germany, practical exercises for education purposes as well as field trips to relevant institutions and companies.

Application:

Applicants are kindly requested to fill out the online application form. The deadline for applications is February 14th, 2018.

In order to facilitate the visa application procedure, all applicants are required to book an interview date at the German embassy via their website upon completion of the online application.

Accepted participants will receive an invitation letter from RENAC.
